"We're the future. We're the change." -- March for Our Lives (March 24, 2018)
What are you willing to stand up for?
Over the weekend, millions of people took to the streets and participated in March for Our Lives. Teenagers and children (along with their parents, teachers and even celebrities) are tired of being put in harm's way every time they go to school or an event. They're tired of politicians not protecting them and the time for change is now.
I'm not here to talk about gun control or any of that. I'm here to talk about standing up for what you believe in.
When I was in my teens, African Apartheid was a big issue. I protested several times and even took part in marches. Why? Because I was tired of seeing people killed and/or enslaved.
I've often said over the past year that I weep for the future and the world has gone crazy. These children/teens organized this march and are taking a stand. They're saying they're tired of the way things are and how it's time for change.
These kids inspired me this weekend and continue to inspire me.
What about you? What are you willing to stand up for?
No matter what it is, tell the world you won't sit silence anymore.
