We're all part of the human race and it's about time we start acting like it.
I read a disturbing story this morning. It dealt with the scumbag who walked into a newspaper office and murdered five reporters. Why, you may ask? They reported his stalkerish behavior on Facebook. The scumbag sued for defamation of character and lost. He had a grudge so he went on a rampage and killed five innocent human beings.
While this event is horrific, this is not what sent me into a rage this morning. It's people's responses to the tragedy:
"Did real people die or just journalists?"
"Let's get more of 'em."
"Let's go and shoot more of those news bastards."
WTF? Are you freakin' kidding me????
The people who died at the hands of this deranged person are real people. NO ONE has the right to take someone's life away, no matter their profession or what makes them different from you or I. We're all human beings and each of us has the right to be on this earth living our life the way we want.
The truth of the matter is that there are people in this world who think violent thoughts and want to rid the world of everyone who is different than them. Our differences are what make us unique, special and beautiful. Yes beautiful.
A rainbow is beautiful because of how it's formed and the lush colors of its makeup. It's not just one color but many. The blue is not jealous of the yellow and so forth; it co-exists with the other colors to create something spectacular.
As the human race, we could learn a lot from the rainbow. Let's work together and show respect for each other. The result would be the best thing this world has ever seen.
