"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite." ~ Nelson Mandela
Instead of sharing hate, show compassion and treat others like you would like to be treated.
For those of you who know me, you're aware I follow the Golden Rule. It comes from the Bible but its concept is in all religious/spiritual texts.
"Treat others how you would like to be treated."
I read a disturbing article this morning. Two employees of a donut shop in New York poured a pitcher of water over a homeless man who was sitting quietly drinking his coffee. They ridiculed him then laughed.
For whatever reason, these two people hate the homeless. Their hate overruled their compassion for another human being. I wish I could shake some sense into these two people. I'd tell them to wake up because they could very well be without a job and out on the street homeless.
No one (and I mean everyone from the richest person in the world to the poorest homeless person) deserves to be mistreated. We are ALL human beings and deserve the simplest respect. We aren't going to like everyone but we need to show respect for our fellow brothers and sisters. Why? It's called humanity. It's what differentiates us from animals.
Follow the Golden Rule and treat others like you'd like to be treated.
