Book Blurb:

A stormy encounter...

With her well-ordered world in complete disarray, Sam’s friends convince her to go on her honeymoon—alone. A week away from the city and her demanding corporate career at a charming Vermont inn, could be just what she needs to figure out next steps.

Between his twenty-four seven work schedule on his family’s farm and teaching tourists to ski, Jed Armstrong’s too busy to think about how lonely he is...until Sam sings her way into his life during a Christmas blizzard. Now he has to figure out a way to convince her to stay.

Can a vivacious city girl find forever with a reclusive farmer? Will her secret keep her from trying?

Forever in a Moment is a finalist in this year’s Hudson Valley RWA Hook, Line & Sinker contest.

My Review:

With just two weeks away from her wedding, Samantha’s fiancé breaks up with her. In one fell swoop, her organized life turns into complete chaos. She needs a break from it all and at the urging of her girlfriends and her parents, she decides to go to Deerbourne Inn and celebrate her honeymoon alone. She does what any tourist does and gets ski lessons. Her instructor, Jed, makes her pulse thrum and the attraction is mutual. But she’s only staying until New Year’s and has to figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. The more time she spends around Jed, the harder it will be to say good-bye. Could this quaint little town be where she belongs or is Jed just a rebound?

Forever in a Moment is a wonderful story about falling in love and figuring out what you want out of life. It’s also a new take on the city versus small town trope. From the first page, I instantly connected with Sam. Her fiancé broke it off with her to go back to an old flame and while the rejection is hard for Sam to rectify, he did her a favor. He forced her to take a hard look at herself and what she wants out of life.

The romance between Sam and Jed is swift yet realistic. The attraction is instant yet there’s still obstacles between them. As they get to know one another, past hurts reveal themselves. Sure, Sam pushes Jed away but instead of pushing back, Jed continues to care for her. There’s plenty of swoon-worthy scenes as they work through their issues.

The writing can be summed up in three words: intoxicating, emotional and irresistible. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I ended up reading it all in one sitting.

If you’re looking for a romance with real characters all set in a quaint small town, pick up Forever in a Moment today. Another great installment in the Deerbourne Inn series.

Favorite Character/Quote: He plows a hand through his hair then captures my gaze with his and I can’t look away. “What’s happening is us. We’re happening. This is our beginning. You and me together. I’d started to think it would never happen. But it did. When I saw you that first night...I knew. And you did too.”

My Rating: 5+ stars
