Can one woman’s destiny to love two alphas be true or is it all a fantasy?
Lainie loves her husband deeply but in her heart she knows he doesn’t have much time left. The illness invading his body is taking away the only man she’s ever loved. Desperate, she concocts a plan to have a one-night stand with a virile man in order to get pregnant. She meets Luke and they share one night of incredible passion. In the morning, she leaves him to go back to her husband. The only problem: she just mated with her destined mate, an Alpha to not only his pack but is next in line to rule all of North America. Now, not only is she pregnant but she has werewolves controlling her life and the inexplicable pull to bite something, preferably Luke’s neck. Can she come to grips with her new identity and say good-bye to her husband properly or will she collapse in a heap on the floor?
I’m a huge fan of erotic shifter romance but it has to be done right. It can’t be just about the sex. There has to be emotional depth and a story to tell. Anna Lores is a brilliant writer and in this story, she weaves an intoxicating paranormal romance with plenty of heat. Her characters leap off the page and burrow into the reader’s heart until they become a part of you. The werewolf lore is spot-on with classic myth yet Anna Lores adds her own spin to it.
What made One Night of Love such a pleasure to read was the dark romantic elements. The instant attraction between Lainie and Luke singed my fingertips as I read yet it was more than just chemistry. Once they got together again, there’s an almost violent need to be together, a yearning to punish for the time apart, that I found riveting. I couldn’t read fast enough.
If you love erotic paranormal romance where the main characters are werewolves, pick this up today. The bedroom scenes are HOT and the emotional angst is the perfect breather to cool down. There’s an undercurrent of letting go and learning to love again which made me cry. A must read and I can’t wait for the next book from Anna Lores.
