Title: Christmas Vows

Author: Livia Quinn

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Blurb:

Love isn’t the only thing that happens when you least expect it.

Delilah and Luc and Samantha and Jed are looking forward to their special day, a double Christmas wedding at the Calloway Farm with their friends and family in attendance. Meanwhile, Beau and Maddie are expecting their baby. Great news, right? But after the women go missing with a storm approaching and a desperate soldier threatens everything, the men in their lives scramble to make sure Maddie's delivery and the wedding come off as planned.

More than a Christmas novel. Stuff always happens in Rainbow Bayou at Christmas time (hint: weddings, births, kidnappings, and second chance reunions. . .)

Excerpt:

Beau snorted. "Wait 'til you're married and see how much sway you've got."

Luc leaned forward. "It's this wedding. I know I for one have been waiting for too long to marry my lovely Delilah, but it's all coming together. And soon Beau will be a daddy—what?" he asked when he saw the look on Jed's face.

"I just figured out what. . .why Sam asked me…" He looked from Sam to Luc to Beau. "Yesterday morning. She caught me off guard, asked me if I wanted another child. You don't think—"

Beau said, "What did you tell her?"

Luc looked at Jed. "Holy hell."

Jed put his bottle down, his face draining of color. "You don't think. . ."

Luc chuckled, "I know Sam. That wasn't an idle question."

Jed jumped up, grabbed his phone off the kitchen counter. He wanted to call her but Beau and Luc stopped him.

Luc said, "Let me call Mom and see if she knows anything."

Beau chuckled before he said, "She won't tell you. Those women are tight."

"Well, congratulations are in order," said Mack.

"Guys—" Jed looked flummoxed. The surrounding voices buzzed and Sam's father clapped him on the back.

Luc raised his beer and said, "To Samantha and Jed."

Jed finally recovered his voice his mouth so dry he had to take a swig of beer before he could say, "But she didn't say. . . I mean, you really think she's pregnant?"

Sam's father asked, "What did she say, exactly?"

Jed rubbed his shaking hand over his eyes trying to bring Samantha's exact phrase into focus. "I think she asked how I'd feel about another kid." He said the words as he remembered them. "Yeah, that was it."

He looked at Samantha's father and brothers. "I just took it to be a general question, you know."

Sam shrugged and said unconvincingly, "Maybe we're wrong, and she was just feeling you out."

But the more Jed thought about the words she'd used and her timing… "It was almost as if she was waiting to hear my answer before she…" He looked up, his eyes filled with concern. "I have to call her."

He reached for his phone again and walked outside to the porch. The sun had set hours ago and he felt an urgent need to talk to Samantha. If she was pregnant why didn't she come out and say it? It wasn't like the outcome would be any different depending on his answer.

He frowned as he pressed her name on the screen. She might consider a different option of any number of options available to her including calling off the relationship if he didn't want the baby.

Samantha's voice came across asking him to leave a voicemail without even ringing. He tried again with the same result. A sharp feeling of distress washed over him. He turned on his heel and stalked back into the kitchen interrupting Luc and his cousins shadowboxing.

"Luc, Beau call the girls, I can't get Sam on her phone. It goes straight to voicemail." The urgency in his voice got their attention.
