Author: Sandra Glosser

Genre: Memoir, Dogs

Book Blurb:

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to view life through another set of eyes? Imagine those eyes belonging to a jet-setting, adorable, four-pound Maltese pup. Meet Bacci Bogie who spent most of his time traveling the country with his owner. The nature of her work provided opportunities for Bacci to become involved in unusual, sometimes dangerous situations as he amassed more than 500,000 air miles during his lifetime. Bacci was a multi-dimensional dog. His human-like behavior attracted attention wherever he went, and people stood in line for his autograph as he exhibited charming behavior. Follow Bacci’s adventures from California to Washington to Florida, in an illuminating and heartfelt read about man's best friend. One reviewer noted, “This is a well-written story about a tiny dog who was big in spirit. Just reading about him made me love him. Great read. While this tale is intended for adults, children can enjoy the book as well.”

My Review:

Bacci Bogie is an adorable dog and one with plenty of personality. His owner, Sandra, works full-time as a motivational speaker. Bacci decides he’s destined to fly so he convinces his human owner to take him with her. Clocking in more than 500,000 frequent flyer miles, Bacci and Sandra are in for the adventure of their lives. Strangers flock to Bacci as he brings happiness to everyone he meets but most of all to Sandra, his beloved owner. This is more than a story of a dog. . . it’s a tale of unconditional love and enjoying all that life has planned for you, even the turbulence.

I’m not a dog person but I found myself growing attached to Bacci while reading this book. Told from a dog’s POV, I reveled in seeing life through his eyes. His perspective on life, love and adventure, was refreshing and very inspirational. It is a fast read but one with huge doses of touching moments. His viewpoint on 9/11 made me cry. Pets owners will love this tale and is suitable for the whole family.

If you’re a fan of Marley & Me, you’ll fall in love with My Name is Bacci Bogie: Frequent Flyer Extraordinaire. Highly recommend, especially for dog lovers.

Author Biography:

Thank you for taking the time to read my biography. I have enjoyed a 30-year career as an international motivational speaker/ trainer with expertise in law enforcement training. My clients included top-notch corporations such IBM, Bank of America and Wells Fargo. One day I was home, in San Francisco, watching television and saw a group of police officers out on the Bay with teenagers. I thought that looked like fun and a 'light bulb' went off in my head. I picked up the phone and called the police department's training unit and asked for a meeting. To make a long story short, that meeting resulted in a two-year contract with the San Francisco Police Department and acted as a springboard for a career training law enforcement officers across the country. My first experience as a writer started with the Dallas Morning News as an obituary writer. My bizarre sense of humor helped me maintain a sense of well-being and the opportunity to write feature stories for the newspaper increased my appetite to become a writer. When I moved to Aspen, Colorado, I wrote a newspaper column and then penned a book about a local police officer who moved to the community as an undercover agent. I also enjoyed a fourteen-year experience as a host for my local television show. Writing became a hobby as I pursued my speaking career traveling across the country with my magnificent four- pound Maltese dog named Bacci Bogie. Please read about our wonderful adventures as we traveled 500,000 air miles together.
