Title: Andrew, Sinful Seduction, Book 1

Author: Dania Voss

Genre: Steamy Contemporary Romance / Reluctant Bride / May/December Romance

Book Blurb:

Forgive him his trespasses. Charmeine Baker has sidestepped Andrew Knight for years. He’s persistent, irresistibly handsome, and makes her pulse race with excitement. She resists him because although he’s “a catch”, Andrew also represents the kind of wealth, power, and privilege she despises.

Successful nightclub owner Andrew Knight has known Charmeine since the day she was born. Now the pastor’s daughter is all grown up and he is certain she’s meant to be his. Only Charmeine keeps giving him the brush off despite their undeniable chemistry.

Andrew knows Charmeine has doubts about him, but he’ll do anything to have her, including pressuring her to marry him in exchange for saving her parent’s church from being bulldozed. Blackmail might be a sin, but Andrew will have to atone for his transgressions later.

Ever the dutiful daughter, Charmeine sacrifices herself and reluctantly agrees to marry Andrew. Can she survive at the mercy of the man who captured her heart against her will?

Excerpt:

“I have a plan that can rid us of Blake for good and save the church.” Angst brewed inside Andrew’s gut at Charmeine’s potential response to his plan. He hoped upon hope she would be practical and see reason. He was just as desperate as Blake, but would never be a danger to her.

She shook her head vigorously and narrowed her eyes. “Oh no. Are you considering buying First Apostle yourself? You can’t just waltz in here and throw your money around like that, Andrew. You said so yourself, it’s not even worth half of what Blake is asking. And what’s to stop you from pulling the rug out from under us afterward?”

Charmeine’s skepticism about his motives stung, but he pressed on. “A contract, of course.” Andrew gestured toward the manila envelope on the breakfast bar.

She raised a suspicious brow, obviously not convinced. Heaven help him.

Andrew drew in a deep breath. “The contract unequivocally states that I will purchase First Apostle the day after you and I marry. On our six month anniversary I will donate it to First Apostle Lutheran Church Incorporated.”

Charmeine gasped as her eyes grew wide.

“We will be engaged when you sign the contract and you will move into my home immediately. We will have a real engagement and marriage. We’ll share a bed and everything else couples do. Should you terminate our marriage before six months, or disclose this agreement to anyone, you’ll have thirty days to repay me, and I will tear the church down and build something of my choosing in its place.”

Andrew rounded the breakfast bar and winced when Charmeine stepped back. He left space between them, but noticed her pulse fluttered on her neck and her eyes were dilated. Perhaps the thought of marrying him didn’t repulse her, as he feared it might. It was a welcomed relief.

“Pathetic. You can’t take no for an answer so you come up with this ridiculous plan? You can’t buy me, Andrew. You don’t have enough money. I know it’s a horrible investment, but if you really cared, you could just pay Blake and leave me out of it.” Charmeine stepped away from him and flopped back down in front of her laptop.

Andrew grabbed the pen on top of notes lying next to her laptop and made a quick modification to the contract. He returned the contract to its place against the Weber Grill takeout bag. “I added paying for graduate school if we stay married for six months, no strings attached. I can take no for an answer, but your noes are foolish and you know it. I’ve made my feelings for you clear since you turned eighteen and you’ve been denying yours for me all this time. Why? We have a connection. We always have, you can’t deny it. Wasn’t it obvious on your birthday?”

When would Charmeine get out of her own way so they could be together? They’d wasted so many years because of her stubbornness. There was a sixteen year age difference between them, and he wasn’t getting any younger.

“What’s obvious is you think money can buy you anything and anyone. Why are you doing this? I’m not for sale. I’ll call Simon.” Tears welled up in her eyes and Andrew felt like an asshole. If she just gave his plan a chance she’d see the light.

“Call him. It won’t make any difference. We’re on the same page about the plan. I’m doing this because you and First Apostle mean everything to me, and you left me no choice. The clock is ticking, Harmony. We have to get married before Blake’s deadline.”
