My Review:
Maya walks the streets of Gideon’s Hollow alone on Friday the 13th, not realizing the danger she’s in. Fighting monsters (both human and otherworldly) puts her life in peril. But the real question remains: will she survive when she comes face-to-face with the angel of death?
Angel of Death is an eerie horror story that sent shivers all across my body. Michelle Godard-Richer is masterful at creating spooky stories that will thrill and chill you. This novella is short but is a complete story. The descriptive narration pulls you in while the paranormal elements add just the right amount of scare factor. Take my advice, read this in the daytime or be prepared for nightmares.
The characters are well-written and add the perfect human element to this story. I connected with Maya right away. She’s your average woman living in a small town. Her reactions to what happen is realistic. I kept screaming at her to run. laughs
The pacing of this novella is flawless, as is the writing. I found myself glued to the story and whipped through the pages at a frantic pace. Fans of Stephen King and Paul Tremblay will clamor for more.
