My Review:
Drawn to a man like Cougar is dangerous, especially when Cady’s heart is on the line. Can Cady and Cougar overcome secrets and betrayal to fulfill their hearts’ desires? Cougar is an emotional historical romance I couldn’t put down. This story is character-driven with emotional and romantic tension. The descriptive narration works together with the setting and dialogue to create an immersive reading experience. But it’s the romance that puts Cougar in a category all its own.
Let’s talk about these characters. Cougar is a well-written hero with flaws and imperfections. He’s also a man torn between two worlds. Where does he fit in? He’s attracted to Cady but it will end in heartbreak so why bother? But love takes over and all bets are off. He’s the character I loved best. His emotional conflict is off the charts, and he stole every scene he was in.
The romance is a blend of tropes. Christine Davies writes flawlessly so readers can fall in love right along with the characters.
Take my advice and read Cougar. You can thank me later.
