Excerpt:

When he lifted his head, she protested. “Dragos.”

His lids dropped over his eyes. “So, you know who holds you.” He set her on her feet. Slowly, he unwrapped her arms from his neck and placed her hands on his chest.

She stood mesmerized by the rippling bronze of his skin wanting to run her hands over his body as he did hers.

“Does your rebel make you feel the way I do?”

Oh my God, Rauf! What am I doing? Rolayna stiffened and backed away from him. Without his heat, cold seeped into her bones, and she realized Dragos wore only his breeches.

His tunic lay on the ground at their feet.

Her gaze roamed his chest and stopped on the spot where she stabbed him with her hatpin. There should be a wound or a mark, something to herald her attack, but neither were there. Confusion filled her mind. How could he be healed so quickly? She stabbed him yesterday. She glanced up at his dark eyes and the hunger within their depths, suddenly remembering her near nakedness. Rolayna shivered, trying desperately to cover herself with her arms.

“I…he…we…do…not…” she stammered.

He smiled. “I saw you together last night, and he wore only his breeches. He desires to have you.”

Her chin lifted, and she stared up at him. “So, you admit he wants me for more than my gold?”

Dragos’ lids dropped over his eyes. “I did not say so.” He picked up his tunic. “Here, put this on.” His gaze flicked over her one more time, lingering on her breasts before he tossed it at her…

What’s your favorite part about being a romance author?

My favorite part of being a romance author is exploring the nuances of love over and over. It is my belief that the world could use more love and I enjoy crafting stories where the heroine finds the one man she can trust and give her heart to. We could all use a happy ever after.

Here’s my tip to add romance to your love life:

Keep it new. I look at my husband of forty years and relive the first moments we spent together. I ask myself, how did you feel/act when he first kissed you, etc and do things to rekindle the feeling. The longer we are together the deeper the feelings grow, and I can say I am truly blessed in my relationship.

Author Biography:

I love to write and create stories in my head. I enjoy knitting, crocheting and quilting. My grandmother came from Holland and during World War 2 she spent time in a knitting factory. Back then, she used knitting needles and said they would give the girls a different part of a garment to knit (i e) One had one sleeve, someone else, the other. A different girl the bodice front, etc. She taught me to knit when I was eight years old, and I truly enjoy it. I also enjoy drawing doing puzzles. I have a large family and enjoy spending time with them all. My two dogs, Beethoven and Mozart keep me company while I write. They also keep the neighborhood safe by barking at every butterfly and bird. LOL.
