My Review:
Stacey is juggling a lot in her life but when radio antennas start falling all over town, it’s up to her to nab the culprit in time. Down to Earth is a small-town cozy mystery I thoroughly enjoyed. The imaginative premise captured my attention from the start. The narration and dialogue are cozy and immersive. The quirky characters are a delight to read. The mystery plot is full of details, and I had fun solving the case along with Stacey.
I’m a huge cozy mystery reader and I can always tell when a cozy is going to be enjoyable. There’s a certain rhythm to the cozy that isn’t in other genres. I got this same feeling with Down to Earth. The writing and plot progression tango together.
The characters are small town quirky while still being relatable. Being there for each other makes this book shine. No matter what goes on, the feeling of helping out a neighbor is always in the forefront.
The mystery itself is well-plotted and well-executed. While there are strange happenings, Stacey follows the clues and investigates. Her sharp mind makes her the ideal cozy sleuth.
I recommend this cozy mystery to all fans of this genre. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.
