The Lady of the Glen: Can Elayne MacNally change the course of her life? Elayne MacNally knows one thing for certain: Her reputation as the willful Harpy of the Highlands was well earned. As the spoiled daughter of the successful Laird MacNally, silver-eyed Elayne gets whatever she wants, until the man she thought she would wed rejects her. Her father comes up with an opportunity that could change the course of her life and perhaps her reputation as well.
Declan MacCollough also knows one thing for certain: He does not want to follow in his father’s footsteps as Laird of the reputed “Beast Clan.” After his father’s death, Declan has a lot of work ahead of him to reclaim any sense of respect for his people and establish himself as chieftain. Learning of Elayne and her willful reputation, Declan offers to wed the lass – an arranged marriage of sorts.
With no other choices open to her, Elayne decides that the Laird of the Beast Clan is her best, if only, option.
What happens when she arrives is a strange and passionate meeting of the minds between herself and Declan, and a surprising, undeniable love flourishes between them. However, Declan’s past affiliations with the King are not welcome by all, and the challenges to their union become the least of their worries.
When danger threatens, can Declan and Elayne trust each other enough to face the obstacles to the MacCollough clan and their very lives? Or will these threats ruin all they've accomplished? A steamy, second chance romance!

Excerpt:
Alpin shook his head disapprovingly.
“Josiah, does your family ken where ye are?”
Josiah kept his eyes on the ground, too embarrassed to look at his Laird in the eye. “Nay, my Laird,” he answered in a sheepish tone.
“Then I expect ye to return to your chores ‘afore ye are missed?”
Josiah knew a pass when he saw one and did not hesitate. He lifted his sword off the ground and ran off in a cloud of dust, leaving Colin to deal with his father’s anger on his own. Alpin directed his irritated glare at his eldest son.
His greatest pride, tall, brawny Colin, was also Alpin’s greatest concern. The lad had grown into a fine young man, for the most part, smart at his numbers, patient with his family, strong in body. But his temper . . . Colin was gaining a reputation for flying into a fury at the least slight. Alpin had done everything in his power to teach his son temperance: lashings, mucking the stable, even taking on women’s work in the kitchens, but to no avail.
The lad seemed unteachable when it came to his anger. And Alpin feared what an angry Laird his eldest son would make. What manner of man would Alpin be leaving his clan to when he passed into heaven?
Alpin shook his head again, only this time it was for his son’s view alone. The rest of the lads had scattered with Josiah when the Laird appeared, and now ‘twas Colin and his father in the darkened yard. Dread filled Colin like ale in a short cup.
