My Review:
Christmas is a wonderful time for a love story to occur. This book has a warm Christmas is coming kind of feel. The love story of Jack and Clem is the heart of this story. A simple, pure romance about two people who just knew right away and told in a clean, non-angst flow that was just lovely to read.
Truthfully, I wasn't quite sure what a low angst story was (my wife is a huge fan of them) and now I know because I read one here! You have a story of two people and the instant attraction that both feel but aren't ready to express.
The story isn't a long one but it's a beautiful read. The romance is very realistically presented (at least it is to one who is still massively romantically in love with his beloved after 20 plus years).
Jack knows what he wants and is willing to be patient. Clem knows what she would like but is unsure she deserves it. The journey that each character takes both apart and together make this a fantastic read. If you want a read asweet, low angst romance set at Christmastime, I can't recommend this one enough.
It is the kind of book I want to read over and over again, every Christmas.
My Rating: 5++ stars
