N. N. Light’s Book Heaven is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Isn’t that wonderful?
I think it’s an amazing accomplishment, congratulations! Also, thank you for inviting me to share in this celebration with you.
I’d like to introduce prolific author Gracie Guy.
Question 1: Where were you ten years ago in relation to your author/writer career? If you weren’t writing, what were you doing?
I was writing memoir, with several pieces published in our local Hearst newspaper, and on NPR Radio’s 51%.
Question 2: Looking back on the past ten years, how has your writing grown?
My writing skills have grown immensely. During my memoir writing days, I was reminded of the rules learned in high school English class. When I made the leap to fiction, I dusted off a ten-thousand-word manuscript I had written during my coffee/lunch breaks at work a few years before. With guidance from my writing group, memoir instructor, and newly acquired editor, I pushed myself to rework the first 10k and build it out to my first published full-length novel. A Fragmented Journey was released on April 11, 2017.
Question 3: What are you doing now? How many books have you published?
I am presently working on the third book in my new series, The Secrets of Banyan Tree Bay. The publication date for Trapped by the Sand is tentatively set for May 10, 2025. This will be the fifteenth book I have published.

I have been blessed with an eclectic and rewarding life, filled with family, friends and a passel of animals. I’m a wife, sister, aunt, farmer, gardener, and a retired athlete in love with my bionic hip. My husband and I are both life-long New Yorkers who proudly call a 40-acre wooded piece of property in Upstate New York home.
