Book Blurb:

He knew he didn’t deserve her, didn’t fit in her world. But the moment he laid eyes on her, he knew she was his... Rocco Moretti had a rough start in life. Abused by his parents and abandoned when he was six years old, he’s spent his life trying to prove his worth.

After barely getting out alive while deployed in Afghanistan, he’s settled into civilian life—for the most part. He’s convinced himself being a devoted brother, uncle, and associate at Dixon-Shaw Security is all he deserves.

Hannah Hailey has been professionally unfulfilled at her mother’s successful event planning firm for far too long. Bullied into a relationship with a man her mother considers suitable, Hannah is miserable. Richard Hayes is an arrogant, cheating bastard she despises. When Hannah and Rocco meet, their chemistry is undeniable, and sparks fly. Hannah believes she doesn’t have a chance with the sexy Italian Marine, but is captivated by his seductive charm. Rocco knows Hannah is way out of his league, but is spellbound by the dark-haired temptress. He’s determined to have her at all costs. Can they build a real future together or will pressure from Hannah’s well-to-do family tear them apart?

Excerpt:

“Let’s all take a seat. The servers are getting everything ready for us,” Grace announced and took a seat in the semi-circle of comfy leather chairs in the center of the room.

Hannah sat next to Leah, feeling comforted as she was at least a casual acquaintance. If she and Rocco continued seeing each other, they’d most likely become closer. She found she liked that idea quite a bit. She was getting to know the Stryker clan a little better already since she was planning Luke Stryker’s wedding and had already planned Leah’s brother Jake’s. They were a good group of people she’d be happy to call friends.

She retrieved her Kindle with Dawn by Erin M. Leaf queued up. She’d enjoyed the story so much she’d also purchased the first two books in the series, Dark and Dusk.

Suddenly, a door behind the granite countertop near a full-size sink opened and several men she knew were naked except for their bowties walked in, carrying trays of assorted refreshments. The cabinetry hid their bodies from the waist down. When Rocco walked in carrying a tray with what looked like assorted cheeses, her body heated.

She watched him look for her and he smiled when they made eye contact. Her heart thudded and her core slickened. How was she expected to get through the next three hours and seem unaffected? Even when he was dressed, she was overwhelmed.

And to experience him and the entire premise of this ladies’ social club was entirely new and uncharted territory for her. The most daring and out-of-the-norm thing she’d ever done. And if she were being honest with herself, she loved it. In a way, she felt free, more like herself in some ways. It was a heady feeling. One she didn’t think she could give up.

When the servers had everything in place, they made their way to the club members. It was proper etiquette to refer to Rocco as boy or by his first name.

He stood before her in all his glory, a wicked grin on his face. When had bowties become so sexy? Her heart raced and her nipples pebbled. She felt her face heat.

“The Server Supervisor informed me you requested I serve you today.” His soft, sexy voice made her shiver in delight.

“Ye … yes, I did … boy.” Her stomach chose that moment to growl. She sighed and Rocco shook his head. Damn it.

“Would I be correct in assuming you may not have eaten as you should have today, even though you might have received a text reminder to?” He kept his voice low, calm, and sultry, although she suspected he was disappointed in her.

Embarrassed she’d been busted, all she could do was nod.

“May I prepare a plate for you? With the sustenance you need? And a soothing footbath as I suspect you’ve had a long hard day?”

Aside from where she was, in a room full of naked men there to serve women, his offer sounded wonderful. “Thank you, boy. I’d like that very much,” she replied softly. This is surreal.

The women chatted casually as the servers prepared footbaths in white plastic rectangular tubs. Hannah handed out some business cards with promises of being contacted about upcoming events members wanted her to plan. She hadn’t expected to acquire clients from this group and was relieved Grace Asher, the apparent leader of the group, wasn’t upset and asked for a card herself.

She smiled when she considered what her mother would think about planning some sort of BDSM-related event. It would be a first, but she imagined her mother would refuse the business. So not Patty-appropriate.

Rocco kneeled in front of her and gently placed her feet in the warm, lavender-scented footbath. She nearly groaned it felt so wonderful. The other ladies in the room had similar reactions. Aside from the kinky aspect of the evening, she really needed this. “Boy, would you like to give me a foot massage after my soak?”

His nostrils flared and his soulful, dark eyes dilated. She wasn’t supposed to blatantly gawk at the men, but from her seated position, she could see he was semi-erect. It gave her ego a little boost.

“It would be my pleasure, Miss Hannah. Let me wash up and prepare your plate first,” he replied in a sensual, low tone.

She held in a giggle when he discreetly covered his groin and retreated back to the kitchen area. All the men took great care to keep their hands washed and sanitized. She was impressed.

“Let’s get started with an excerpt from Dawn while the servers prepare our plates,” Grace suggested.

The attendees all nodded in agreement. Grace swiped at her Kindle for a moment until she found what she apparently wanted to read aloud.
