My Review:
A one-night stand turns into something more when Devon and Rylee work together to solve a case of missing girls. Can Devon convince Rylee to give both him and love a chance? More importantly, can Devon protect Rylee when her life is in danger?
His Chance is a gripping romantic suspense filled with danger, one hot night in Vegas, missing girls, and a ruthless enemy hunting Rylee. Sheila Kell is a prolific romance author whose speciality is romantic suspense. Her ability to amp up the romance and suspense is top-notch. The plot progression is fast yet very detailed. Nothing is spared, especially if you love emotional tension. But it’s the characters which make His Chance impossible to put down.
These characters are well-written and attach themselves to anyone who reads their story. Rylee is an ex-FBI agent who is passionate about what she cares about. She also kicks butt. I connected with her right away.
Devon is an understated hero in the beginning but won over my heart very quickly. He’s wicked smart, too, which I loved.
The action scenes are epic and very detailed. My pulse raced so much, I needed to calm my breathing, so I didn’t pass out.
