Hello, lovely readers! I’m KATHRYN HILLS, romance author, dog lover, ghost hunter, and Dunkin iced coffee addict. My tagline reads, “Hauntingly romantic unless she’s writing sweet!” That’s because I joyfully write across many subgenres of romance, from contemporary sweet and spicy, to historical paranormal, time travel, and even small-town holiday romance. So, if you enjoy everything from creepy graveyards, haunted mansions, charming country inns, beach cottages, and mistletoe kisses, I may just be your next favorite author!
I hail from the north country of New England. The rich history and many mysteries of the region are perfect backdrops for many of my books. Winding roads lined by old stone walls, forgotten cemeteries, grand homes with shadowy pasts... All sparks for my vivid imagination. No surprise, some of my favorite stories include ghosts! Sprinkle in some magic, and we’re off on a great adventure.
When I’m not writing, I say I’m reading, researching, gardening, or cooking up something special in my chaotic kitchen. Truth is I’m likely playing with or chasing dogs. We currently have four hound-mix rescues, with more to come, I’m certain. I’m a huge supporter of rescuing, both domestic animals and wildlife.

1. We’re heading into my favorite season, Autumn! There’s nothing like it, and friends have even dubbed me “The Queen of Halloween.” Let’s just say I DO BELIEVE life is better with pumpkins on the porch.
2. You will always find animal characters in my books. I can’t imagine my life without pets, so neither can my characters.
