Excerpt

Lindsay wondered if she was developing the ability to read people’s thoughts, an ability which her boss  had after he and his twin  had been struck by lightning at a young age.  It would be exciting if she was developing any ability!  And so satisfying.

She looked around again.  Everyone appeared immersed in their work.  Perhaps someone in another room had thought of her?  It would be wonderful if she’d zeroed in on their thoughts!

She refocused on her laptop.  She was just going to switch the screen to her work email when she felt that sensation shoot through her again, then heard footsteps near her.

The steps paused, near her cubicle.  She looked up.

            “Hello, Lindsay.”

Brian Clarkson, her first love, stood there.
