Title: Lights, Cameras, Holidays

Author: Rachelle Paige Campbell

Genre: Sweet Romance, Contemporary Sweet Romance

Book Blurb:

Actress Kara Kensington flies to New Hope, Wisconsin, where she'll spend the winter holidays filming a movie. Her entire career depends on the success of the feel-good story based on her best friend's life. To salvage her strained friendship with Dani, Kara asks the cute guy from the flight to act as her new boyfriend. But the longer she spends with him, the less she's acting.

For Chef Scott Neil, his holidays aren't only about family togetherness. He wants Aunt Shirley and Uncle Ted to retire. When he's asked to fake a relationship with Kara, he agrees. As he gets drawn into Kara's production, he questions what is real and what's just for show.

Only a fool would fall in love with America's sweetheart.

My Review:

Playing her best friend in a film is hard enough, but things get complicated when Kara falls hard for her fake boyfriend. Actress Kara has just secured a role which will either make or break her career. She's back in New Hope, Wisconsin on location where she'll play her best friend, Dani, in a movie. Her friendship with Dani is, ummm, complicated so to ease the strain, she asks the cute guy from the plane to be her fake boyfriend. Everything is going smoothly until she starts falling for him. The lines are blurred between real feelings and acting. Does he feel the same connection or is he just a good actor? When the camera stops rolling, will Kara share her heart with Scott, or is it all for show?

Lights, Cameras, Holidays is a sweet holiday romance I couldn't stop reading. This is the third and final book in the series and frankly, it's the best one. Lights, Cameras, Holidays is a fake boyfriend romance, and I loved every minute of it. Who knew Kara had a heart? In a previous book, she came across as mean and snarky. But after reading her side of things, my heart warmed to her. The plot is well-conceived with plenty of heartwarming moments as well as some awkward rom com moments. The descriptive narration is sublime and allows the reader to truly become part of the story. While the romance is sweet, there were plenty of sweeping, emotional moments. Rachelle Paige Campbell is an exceptional writer who knows how to write the perfect sweet romance. Get swept away to New Hope this holiday season with Lights, Cameras, Holidays. Highly recommend!
