N. N. Light

N. N. Light’s Book Heaven is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Isn’t that wonderful?  I’d like to introduce romance author Martha O’Sullivan.

Question 1: Where were you ten years ago in relation to your author/writer career? If you weren’t writing, what were you doing?

I was first published in 2013 with a now defunct publisher and my books went nowhere, so ten years ago I was actually feeling a bit discouraged. I had been a stay-at-home mom for many years and my children were getting older so I felt like the time was right to pursue my other lifelong dream. After that, I took a break from writing for a few years and as my girls transitioned from high to college and beyond, I took care of my aging mother. Then in 2020, I was able to get the rights back to my Chances Trilogy, Second Chance, Chance Encounter and Last Chance. I re-wrote and re-published all three books in 2021. Bitten by the writing bug again I wrote and published Christmas in Tahoe in 2022 and my fifth novel, Sierra Fall was released on February 18, 2025.

Question 2: Looking back on the past ten years, how has your writing grown?

Exponentially! I’m not only a much better writer than I was before, I’m also a much better editor. And I have learned so much about myself along the way. It’s been an arduous, exhilarating and rewarding labor of love.

Question 3: What are you doing now? How many books have you published?

Sierra Fall, published in February, is my fifth book. I’m taking a breather from writing to learn more about the marketing side of publishing before I start another book.
