Excerpt:

Thousands of colourful beads sit in perfectly aligned containers, all labelled and strewn out over the fold-away table I found in the garage. I threw a lavender with black trim shawl overtop of it, making it homier and less utilitarian. I didn’t need to pack very much when I let Molly’s. My apartment was furnished. I ate most of my meals at Molly’s or the Club. All I really had to pack were my clothes, books, CDs, and knickknacks that I had accumulated over the last few years. Most were trinkets and gifts from Orion. I couldn’t bear to leave them behind. They were both a beautiful and tormenting reminder of our time together.

I’m not sure how I can feel so nostalgic and sad to the point of tears whenever I reach out and touch a simple scarf. He bought it one night when we were walking. I shivered when the temperature dropped that evening and Orion immediately slipped into the closest shop and purchased a bright red scarf with hues of grey throughout. I feel a tear slide down my cheek as I recall that evening, running the material through my fingers. Orion gently wrapped the warm material around my throat, then pulled me close to kiss my nose. “Never goin’ to let the cold in. I’ll keep you warm,” he whispered against my lips. And tears continued to fall. He is a grizzly of a man, but with me, he was my gentle giant.

A loud knock on the door pulls me out of my melancholy stupor. I wipe away the tears and head to the door. It’s probably Hanna. She is always dropping by or calling to make sure I am doing well. I think my mini meltdown has pulled us closer. Hanna has been asking me persistently to call Orion. She may be right, and he does have the right to know that he is a father. I fully believe that he will want to “make it right”. He will want me to come back and take care of me and the baby. But I don’t want him to “do the right thing” out of obligation.

I could live with almost being loved, my baby however, deserves it all. Two parents to spoil, teach, and love our little peanut. Unfortunately, my baby will have to make do with just me. I will do all I can to make sure he or she has all their needs met.

The knock is louder and more persistent now. I race over to the door and throw it open.

I stop cold, feeling the blood drain from my face as I find before me, a massive chest. I know that chest. I lift my eyes to encounter that come-hither smile. I peruse those luscious lips and sensual mouth. He looks just as sexy as he always does except his eyes seems distraught and tired.

I take a step back, allowing the door to swing open even wider, giving way to allow Orion to walk straight into the hall. I gawk. I have no words. It’s been over a month and until now, he hasn’t come to find me and as far as I know hasn’t even looked. I thought he had moved on.

He looks me over from top to toe. His eyes finally settle on mine, then once again looks me up and down. I clutch my belly, consciously trying to cover my bump. I am hoping that my rounded tummy isn’t too noticeable.

“You’ve lost weight, baby. We’re going to have to do something about that,” he growls.

Author Biography:

Hello readers!

I wanted to tell you a little more about me for our new followers...

I was born in a small town in Italy. My parents are loving people; and true traditionalists. I grew up being a chatterbox of a child and evolved into a quiet and shy teenager. I was definitely not the life of the party. As a matter of fact, I never wanted to go to any high school dances or any activities the school offered. I was good with being alone. I had to grow into my own and I eventually became the fun loving, open-minded and creative person I am now. I love the ‘me’ I have become and I am grateful that this is where I have landed.

Writing is my release and I have escaped in my imagination to some incredible places meeting the most awesome characters. I also wanted to be a rock star but anyone who has ever heard me sing kindly convinced me that I do not have any talent. (In other words, I suck at it.)

Although I have been writing since I was in grade school, and I am a hopeless romantic.

GUARD is the first book in a seven book series, and WAR (Book 2 in the series) is already out. Each book introduces characters who you will learn about in the next series... 😉

Why I write romance? I thrive on two individuals connecting in mind, body and soul. The understanding of wants and needs and placing them as a priority and not out of fear of losing them or because you feel you need to concede; you do it because it feels easy and right in your own heart.

My other passion is cooking! I enjoy making meals for my family and friends and bantering around the table. I have colourful people in my life and they all add to my rainbow. I love music! I like it all, depending on my mood.

And lastly, I love to travel. I want to enjoy all that life has to offer. I want to meet people, learn from them and create the most fantastic, sexy love stories. If I can do this overlooking the ocean and feeling the breeze wash over me then I have my heaven on earth.

Stay tuned for more novels in the Satan’s Pride Motorcycle club series coming soon!
