An ancient prophecy eternally links two government profilers from opposite sides of the Atlantic when they discover a gruesome reality—the chronicles of life, love, death, and destruction—Graeme McConnell has already lost so much. Graeme, a pragmatic American FBI agent is rooted in reality and despite the evidence tying him to Morgan, he's in denial, challenging her every step of the way. But a serial killer is murdering profilers. This time, Morgan could be the next target. In order to stop the serial killings, Graeme and Morgan face the ultimate evil. In the process will they succumb to the old gods' prophecy? Until Graeme can no longer deny the overwhelming evidence tying him to Morgan and the prophecy, their lives and the souls they are meant to protect are in eternal danger. Could the solution to staying alive be as simple as accepting their destiny and trusting in the other half of their Gemini souls?
Excerpt:
Morgan finally pulled herself together, but she was the last one off the plane. At baggage claim, her bags rotated alone on the carousel while she waited for them to approach her. Just as she lifted them and turned around, she bounced, full-force into the one man she’d always thought of as an illusion. And to her dismay, Graeme stepped away as if she’d scalded him.
Electrical shocks popped all along the spots where they’d made contact.
He held a sign with her name printed in black magic marker, but it dropped to the floor. Fortunately, he didn’t need the sign. She would have recognized his aura anywhere, even if she hadn’t seen his face thousands of times in her dreams.
He retrieved the useless sign and shifted from foot to foot, carefully keeping a safe distance from her. The poor man looked so exceptionally out of place in this role, she couldn’t help taking pity on him. She smiled and sent him a warm calming emotion. His obvious discomfort made her feel powerful despite his consuming presence.
“Mr. McConnell?”
His face relaxed. In person, he possessed what Morgan would classify as animal magnetism doused with a huge blast of charisma. The allure twinkled in his eyes in spite of the effort he made to suppress the charm oozing from him. The glow amped up when he spotted her smile—recognition flashed between them—sparking memories.
They were then doused out as if by a fire-hose.
His eye color was the iridescent silver blue of the fae, and his body radiated the closely held power of the druid priest. She wondered to herself, “Where in the bloody hell did that thought come from?”
The exact moment the recognition sprang into his head, she felt something in him acknowledge something in her. Despite the denial revealed plainly in his mind, the depth of his emotions swept through her.
She understood his fear of exposure. His internal struggle clearly registered on his face. He denied what his mind and heart told him and erected barriers to prevent divulging any past contact or knowledge of her. After all, they’d never met before this very moment.
How amazing! He can block.
“I’m Morgan Cunningham.” She indicated his sign.
Morgan let him fight his inner war and took the opportunity to examine him in detail. And what an opportunity he presented. Tall, well-built, more of everything in every way than she extracted from her dreams.
She continued to stare. Wide of shoulder and narrow of hip. Examining this devastatingly handsome man proved to be no hardship. His defined muscles were thick and his limbs long, just the way he felt in her dreams.
His gaze took in the room like a warrior schooled to defend himself or anyone else if the need arose. That thought, which Morgan found peculiar and comforting in an oddly feminine fashion, should have been repulsive to her independent nature. Years of self-defense precluded her from needing a man’s protection. With her natural gift as well as her expertise with martial arts and weapons training, she didn’t often depend on anyone else for backup.
The heat rising between them wasn’t merely something she conjured while appraising him. Oh yes, the temperature in her body elevated, all right, but he was projecting it.
The extent of their connection, the ability to be instantly familiar with the emotions of a total stranger, stunned even her.

Why is your featured book a must-read?
This is the book of my heart. I’ve got more adaptations than you can imagine...chapters or versions of chapters stashed in places I occasionally run across and can’t resist sitting down to read them. I love the story, the concept, the characters, and the potential for all it could be...will be.
If you believe in soulmates, the other half of your soul, someone who completes you and makes you better than you are without them...you understand.
The research was fun. Don’t take any of this as accurate. The locations are imaginary, as are the people and realms. Hopefully, we’ll never discover the Land of Shadows actually exists.
This book is dedicated to my mother, a true Gemini, who after her death somehow managed to show up and convince me to write this story. I’d remiss if I didn’t mention I believe in fate...and no matter how hard you try to escape it, you should grab love when it’s offered and realize happiness is something you accept when it stares you in the face.
