My Review:
Sarafina set sail on a voyage to America as a bride-to-be, but winds up captured and used as a pawn in a very deadly game. Can she resist the desire to fall in love with her charming captor or will she follow her heart?
Precious Burdens is a historical romance filled with danger, adventure on the high seas, revenge, and the enigmatic pull of love. The narration pulled me into the story from the start. The characters are vibrant, colorful, and drive the story. Precious Burdens is an unforgettable historical romance.
Avery Sterling has written an intoxicating romance set on the high seas. The historical accuracy is impressive and adds so much to the story, Little details like clothing, manners, and speech are accurately described. These small details flesh out the story and capture my imagination.
The characters drive the plot, especially Sarafina and Captain Nye. I connected with both main characters. Sarafina is a fiery heroine. She holds her own even against the most trying circumstances. Her passion leads to desire which leads to love. I couldn’t put Precious Burdens down. Lose yourself in a fantastic historical romance with Precious Burdens.

Avery Sterling's love for the romance genre began in her teen years when she picked up her first novel. She was captivated by the sweeping scale of emotions brought about by the words.
