Title: ROCKED BY LOVE (LOVE AND CHAOS SERIES Book 2)

Author: M.J. Schiller

Genre: Rockstar Romance, Contemporary Romance

Book Blurb:

When rock star Raphael Santiago comes to the defense of reporter Mia Love’s cousin, things heat up in this sizzling, new romance from bestselling author, M.J. Schiller.

Rock star Raphael Santiago is haunted by the night his friend Devin died. Maybe because there’s something that no one knows about the overdose. But when he jumps in the crowd to defend a woman at one of his concerts, he finds he doesn’t want to keep the secret from her.

Mia was a tight little ball of fire, and I was made of combustible material. She misunderstood my intentions the night we met, but I was given an opportunity to explain the next day. I wish that was our only miscommunication, but when I discovered she’d written an inflammatory article about Just Short of Chaos, I thought she was using me to get a story. The hurt that caused made me say some nasty things. Now I may have lost her forever.

Mia Love doesn’t know if Rafe is truly interested in her, or if she is merely a new plaything for him.

Oh, there was definitely a heat between us from day one. Sometimes volatile, sometimes scorching in a good way. But I’d been burnt before and I was stronger now. No way was I going to let a rock star break my heart.

When fate throws them together again, things really start to heat up.

But will they figure out how to control their passions or will their love story end in ashes?

My Review:

No one told her love with a rock star feels like climbing a mountain…agonizing one minute then soaring the next. Mia watches in astonishment as guitarist Raphael gets down from the stage in the middle of a concert to come to the defense of herself and her cousin. Rafe beats up her cousin’s abusive boyfriend right in front of her. After the show, he ‘summons’ her backstage and she misunderstands Rafe’s intentions. She won’t be another notch in his bedpost. When they meet the next day, she spends the day with him. He’s not like other men and she falls for him, hard. Everything’s going fine until an article comes out, the one Mia wrote about the band, Rafe’s band. Cruel words are spewed back and forth. Now, she doesn’t know what to do with her broken heart. It’s not enough to say sorry…when it comes to love, actions speak louder than words.

Rocked by Love is an unforgettable rockstar romance I couldn’t put down. Mia’s and Rafe’s meet cute is original and quite aggressive. I like it when a hero sticks up for women in general and the heroine specifically. While the theme is mainly romance, there’s an underlying family theme, too. The bandmates are tighter than most families and stick together, no matter what. I enjoyed reading from Rafe’s POV, especially when it came to his thoughts and emotions. It’s refreshing to hear a guy’s POV that isn’t all profanity. The plot moves at a great pace. The descriptive narration is superb with a fair share of emotional angst and obstacles for this couple to overcome. There were times when I wanted to wring this couple’s necks and other times when I cheered. Needless to say, I got very attached to the characters. If rockstar romance is your reading jam, you’ll want to read Rocked by Love. If you’re a stickler for angsty romance, you’ll adore Rocked by Love. Highly recommend!
