Author Interview | Meet Author Sara Ohlin and her paranormal romance, Sinful Bite #pnr #paranormalromance #authorinterview #newrelease #mustread

When I first met Sara Ohlin, we became fast friends. Sara writes contemporary romance and paranormal romance. Her books are so wonderful, I convinced her to appear here today for an author interview and to talk about her recent release, Sinful Bite, a paranormal romance. She agreed. So, grab a glass of your favorite drink and join us. Take it away, Sara…

What book do you wish you could have written?

One of my favorite romances I wish I could have written is Breathe by Kristen Ashley. It is so full of emotion and love and vulnerability. It’s one of my go-to re-reads whenever I need a great book.

Just as your books inspire authors, what authors have inspired you?

So many great writers have inspired me. Barbara Kingsolver, David James Duncan, Kristen Ashley, Penny Reid, Lucille Clifton, Brittney Morris, Rosamunde Pilcher, Kate Canterbary, Brynne Asher, Helen Hoang, Naima Simone, Tallia Hibbert. Too many to list them all!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I would love to see myself still publishing books and making more money doing it. And I would love to be living in a really old home that I get to fix up and decorate in some beautiful, eclectic ways. Of course the house would have to have enough room for a garden.

If you didn’t like writing books, what would you do for a living?

I would be cooking for people and gardening full time. Give me all the recipes and flowers!

What are you working on now? What is your next project?

I’m just starting Book 3 in my Enchanted Mates Series. Also, I have another contemporary romance series that is written and I’m thinking about self-publishing that as well this winter.

Do you write naked?

Ha! I do not write naked.

What is your biggest failure?

One of my biggest failures is not telling my mom I loved her a million more times before she died. She was a gem.

Where is one place you want to visit that you haven’t been before?

I can’t wait to go to Scotland. It’s next on my list. I want to visit the cities and the barren landscape and drink whisky.

What’s on your bucket list (things to do before you die)?

Besides travelling and tasting all the world’s cuisines, I want to buy a really old house and fix up the entire thing and decorate it in a really eclectic way.

What were you like as a child? Your favorite toy?

I was super shy, always making up faraway lands in my head or reading. I don’t remember my favorite toy, but I bet it was a book!

Thank you, Sara, for the fantastic interview. Readers, keep scrolling to read about her new release.

Excerpt

“The restaurant’s been a part of the hotel since it opened in 1890, but last year my brother Duncan and his wife, Harper, took over, refurbished it, revamped the menu, and…” He followed her gaze and took in the joyful din around him, the laughter, the clinking of plates and silverware.

He couldn’t smell anything but a unique scent, something elemental to her, a hint of soap, the way her energy flowed through her. No perfume or anything extra. She’d probably consider it frivolous. What about her life leads her to believe frivolous isn’t for her? “They’ve done a dynamite job. I’m proud of them. And lucky for me, I get to eat their amazing creations.”

“You don’t work here anymore?” She quirked her brow at him. One second there, then gone the next. “No more bussing tables?” Was she teasing him?

“No,” he laughed. “Not officially. I help out when I can, however they need me. Family business, you know.”

“Mm.” She studied him. The melancholy returned as well as her guards, as if she’d never allowed him that tiny glimpse inside. “So, you were hitting on me, to be fair.”

Hitting on you? Oh, darlin’ so much more. He smiled. The truth. She was someone who deserved it, and he was the type to give it, although she probably didn’t want the whole truth yet. Because, as ancient instincts kicked his pulse into high gear every time her voice met him, he knew. Forty-two years old, and he was just now finding his mate.

No, he was certain she wasn’t ready to hear that stunner. “I admit, I saw you the minute I walked in.” Recognized you as mine. It was harder than he thought not to say the words. “And I knew someone as interesting as you, sitting alone, moaning over my grandmother’s cake, was someone I wanted to meet. To cake,” he said and held his glass toward her. She held his gaze steady, made him wait a minute. The longest damn minute of his life.

“To cake,” she said with an almost grin, slightly crooked and out of use. He was surprised when she clinked her glass with his and took the last sip of her wine. Then she yawned the biggest yawn he’d ever seen.
