My Review:
Hunt may live a life of luxury to the outside world, but he leads a double life. As a retired cat burglar, he contracts out his expertise to catch thieves. What better way to catch a thief than with a thief? The stakes ramp up when he investigates a rash of jewelry thefts, and his suspect is none other than beautiful Aurora. She claims she’s trying to clear her father’s name and uncover how he died but Hunt isn’t convinced. Can Hunt discover the truth without falling in love?
Sleight of Hand is a sophisticated romantic mystery I couldn’t put down. The premise reads like a classic Bond caper meets The Pink Panther. The narration is descriptive yet with an unmistakable slick mystery vibe. The romance is steamy and full of romantic tension imbued banter. The mystery is complex and had me reading late into the night.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Sleight of Hand. Between the characters, plot, and narration, the writing is flawless. The story is peppered with intrigued and addictive to read.
If you’re looking for a suave romantic mystery, pick up Sleight of Hand. You’ll adore the team of Hunt and Aurora. I wish the author would continue the fun and make this a series. The most fun I’ve had reading in quite awhile.
My Rating: 5++ stars
