My Review:

Can Steve navigate marriage while hunting down the mother ship? Newly married and on their honeymoon, Steve (also known as Scarecrow) and his bride are enjoying married life. Steve must switch to his fighting aliens mindset when their honeymoon is cut short to battle Solar Warden’s enemy. This enemy will stop at nothing to decimate them, including embedding spies high up in command. But who can it be? Every time Steve and his crew crush one group, another pops up. They need to destroy the mother ship and fast. Meanwhile, Steve’s wife shares a dark secret, and it shakes things up. Adjusting to married life while working together is tougher than Steve could ever imagine. He'd be lost without her. Steve’s love and devotion will be put to the test. Can he handle it all or will he break under the pressure?

Solar Warden Book Three – Genesis is a military science fiction that will appeal to both sci-fi and romance readers. I’ve never read a book like this one before. It has equal portions of science fiction and romance in it. Instead of the couple finding love, they have just gotten married and are in the ‘honeymoon’ phase. I give credit to Peter Fuller for realistically portraying married life and all the pitfalls that can happen being married to someone you work with on a spaceship. The narration is very detailed and emotional. The characters are put to the test several times and the outpouring of emotions is both touching and authentic. The world-building is Peter Fuller’s forte, especially the military and space details. The plot is quite complex and has many subplots. There are several plotlines going on at once and it can be tricky to keep track of everything that’s going on. Overall, this is a fine piece of science fiction. Another great installment in this award-winning series. I look forward to what happens next.
