My Review:

An evil spirit lives within the pages of an old book begging to be released. Spine Chilling is a scary little horror story which scared the crap out of me! Talk about perfect reading for the spooky season. The narration is eerie with plenty of foreboding. The characters are relatable and propel the plot. The writing is akin to horror greats like King.

Let’s start with the characters. These are simply people like you and me dealing with paranormal events and possession. I connected with Davis on so many levels. He’s a booklover like me but gets more than he bargained for by bringing home a first edition book. How he handles what’s to come gave me shivers.

The descriptive narration is flawless. Every scene, every thought, every creepy thing that took place is poignantly described. It’s through the intricate details that lead to the scare factor. Michelle Godard-Richer uses her pen as a weapon to create one of the scariest horror stories I’ve ever read.

The writing of this tale is expertly penned. It’s classic horror with an interesting twist. Well written and a joy to read for horror readers.
