“This book is so so lovely. The illustrations just draw you in. I read this book to my preschool class this morning and got some lovely discussions going. It really is amazing how a book can evoke feelings in people, even as young as 3!”– Ginny Mcpherson

“I cannot rave about this book enough. Own voices, multiracial family, overcoming fears in a realistic way, gorgeous attention-grabbing illustrations?? YES. ALL OF THE YES. I will be raving about this to everyone I know.”– Kristin Olsen

“The illustrations are vibrant, colourful and full of emotion. The positive message of the book inspires and offers hope. It will open up conversations about facing your fears and always believing in yourself. I highly recommend this book.”– Marilyn Panton, Storywraps Blog

“The colourful illustration is easy to understand by the youngest readers. Well written, with lots of rhymes which makes the whole story more enjoyable. I think the book is a ‘must read’ position on the children list.

Beneficial is a section with statements and questions at the end of the book, which means help children talking about fear.”– Anna Vane

Author Biography

Michael and Alysia are husband and wife health professionals who live in the Australian capital, Canberra, with their children, a dog, an African grey parrot, two turtles and some chickens.

In 2019, they decided to write a book that inspired children to believe that, no matter what, they had the power to choose to overcome their fears. The consequences of the choices we make will shape our behaviour and shape our lives into what we will become.
