My Review:

Storm is a storm-chaser who’s got a tornado of trouble hot on her heels. The last thing she needs is some hot guy trying to break up her sister’s wedding. Can she trust Brody to help her when she needs him the most or will he blow out of town after the wedding like a summer thunderstorm? Storm’s Warning is a contemporary romance with a fair bit of mystery and suspense. The descriptive narration allows the reader to dive into the story. The plot moves at a fairly good clip. The characters are well-developed.

Let’s dive into this romance, shall we? The romance is well-written. There’s plenty of romantic tension. The flirty dialogue propels the plot as does the unquestionable attraction. Ryan Jo Summers fuels the romance with emotion, so the reader is dead center in the heart of it all.

The plot is driven by these two characters, Storm and Brody, and they fly off the page. I love Storm. She’s independent and super fun to read. Her character is written with humor, emotion, and realism. I’ve known a lot of women like her, so her reactions and feelings are realistic. I connected with her and lived vicariously through her storm-chasing.

I had a more difficult time relating to Brody. Yes, he’s steeped in reality and comes across as authentic. His reasons for trying to stop the wedding didn’t quite work for me. The chemistry between he and Storm is off the charts.

There’s a lot going on in this book and I don’t want to give anything away. Just know, the mystery subplot kept me turning the pages. The romance did as well. If you like reading romance with a little mystery, you’ll enjoy Storm’s Warning.

Author Biography:

Ryan Jo Summers comes from a family of wordsmiths. She wrote her first book, with illustrations, at age ten. Over the years, she illustrated less and written more. Her preferred niche is contemporary romance, blended with sub genres of time travel, Christian, suspense, paranormal, or any mix of those. She also writes non-fiction. She lives in the beautiful region of Western North Carolina in a century-old cottage, with a menagerie of rescued pets and entirely too many houseplants.
