♥ We are nothing alike.♥
Tannis is everything I could only dream of. A tall, blond, handsome athlete.
What could he see in a studious tutor like me?
Yet, when he asks me out, I do something I don’t normally do.
I take a risk and say yes, knowing I can deny him nothing.
She’s so different from the women I typically date. The women I’m encouraged to date.
But her dark hair and eyes are a mystery I want to explore.
And if my teammates don’t like her because she’s not a jock? Well, that’s just too bad.
Because I’ll burn the world to the ground to keep her.
Hea guaranteed in this sweet and steamy romance. Each book in the Campus Heat series can be read as a stand alone.
Excerpt:
And she almost didn’t make it to campus anyway – her car stalled twice before turning over, and Sabrina had no idea what was going on. The car wasn’t even that old, and she’d taken it in for an oil change last month. Once she was parked on campus, she dialed the local repair shop, and they said they could get her in tomorrow.
And there was Fuckery number 3.
Sabrina’s mind was on her car and how she hoped it started when it was time to leave the writing center, and she didn’t notice her two o’clock appointment waiting by the small conference room door in the library.
“Tannis! I’m sorry. Am I late?”
Sabrina juggled her backpack and her purse, trying to check the time. Clocking in late would be the cherry on top of this miserable day.
“No, no. Class got out early, so you’re all good. Don’t apologize.”
He gave her one of his winning smiles, a smile straight from a toothpaste commercial. That, with his cinnamon-blond hair, sky-blue eyes, and his athletic physique, it was no wonder he was one of the most sought-after guys on campus. Either as a friend or to date.
And it fed the rumors that he was a thirst trap and a player.
The thirst trap she could understand. Too often she found herself daydreaming about him after their tutoring sessions, wondering if that amber sprinkle of freckles appeared elsewhere on his body.
But as a player? Sabrina didn’t have time for that. Plus, she wasn’t the popular, go-to-all-the-games-and-parties type, so she wasn’t his type.
Popular baseball players didn’t go for the smart girls.
She still admired his handsome body and the relaxed way he held himself. Christ, he didn’t have a care in the world.
Must be nice.
Sabrina took a deep breath and flashed a tight smile to Tannis.
“Ok, then why don’t you grab a seat and get your paper, and I’ll join you as soon as I clock in.”
With that smile, Tannis could melt butter. A panty dropper for certain.
“Sure thing, boss!”
Oh, to have such a nonchalant attitude, not a worry in the world like that lovely man.
After the morning she’d had, Sabrina wasn’t sure she could handle his positivity. It was almost too much. She sighed. It wouldn’t be the first time she wore a fake smile for the day.
