My Review:
A wager for a woman’s heart puts Christina in the crosshairs between two men. One is a rogue while the other is an honorable man. Will Christina discern truth from lies and choose the right man to win her heart while also helping to unmask one of the Ton’s most elusive criminals? The Lyon’s Alliance is a Regency romance unlike any I’ve read before. The story itself is filled with rumors, lies, betrayal, deceit, infatuation, love, and a mastermind criminal hiding in the shadows. The descriptive narration is immersive, addictive to read, and historically accurate. The romance is a love triangle with a twist, with the heroine Christina caught in the middle of it all. The characters are truly what make The Lyon’s Alliance an unforgettable historical romance.
Ruth A. Casie is a prolific author of romance whose writing style ticks all the boxes for me. Lush world-building, emotional narration, historically accurate, undercurrent of mystery and intrigue, romantic triangle, characters that steal your heart, a couple of misunderstandings and a triumphant ending.
The Lyon’s Alliance is all that and more. It’s one of the best historical romances I’ve read in a long time. If you crave unputdownable Regency romance, you’ll be in heaven with this book.
