My Review:

They say the Starling Mine is haunted but what happens when Agent Sam Carter discovers something much more deadly: an old enemy? The Mystery at Starling Mine is an engrossing paranormal mystery mid-grade and even adults will enjoy. This is a mystery featuring an abandoned mine, ghost sightings, plus strange paranormal happenings. The narration is descriptive with a spooky vibe readers will love. There are clues to follow and a surprise ending you won’t see coming. I read this ghostly adventure in one sitting.

I love a good ghost story and D.V. Stone writes an excellent one. She did a lot of research, and her mine is based on a real one in New Jersey. Anyone who loves ghost stories knows there are kernels of truth in it. There’s an eeriness to this story but it’s not scary.

The plot flows well and reads seamlessly. Each scene transitions to the next. It makes for an engrossing read.

This book has something for every reader: ghosts, mystery, adventure, paranormal beings, funny one-liners, teamwork, and a great ending. Take a chance and join Agent Sam on an epic adventure.
