Title: The Vampire’s Witch

Author: J. M. Davies

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Book Blurb:

This is the first thrilling spinoff from The Rise of Orion series, The Vampire's Witch! As an ancient vampire, Roman De’ Luca has amassed wealth, power, and the title of Prince of the Northern Territories, all of which make his dark existence tolerable. But a chance encounter with an enticing witch, whose sweet scent and blood awaken his stone-cold heart, threatens all he has achieved.

Blade-throwing, thrill-seeking witch Isabella Lockhart is a skilled hunter for her coven. She’s made a good living killing monsters and working in the security team Orion. She’s also the black sheep of her family, always breaking the rules, and is a magnet for danger. After one too many reckless decisions, Isabella ends up being claimed by an arrogant vampire with life-changing consequences for them both.

When the hunter becomes the hunted and a battle for leadership morphs into a fight for their survival, the enemies-to-lovers are forced to put aside their differences. Together they journey across the globe for answers.

But time is running out.

Will Roman be able to prevent Isabella from becoming the very creature she loathed? And at what cost?

Meet-Cute!

“Save the child…please,” the witch pleaded.

Roman glanced over his shoulder at the tiny lifeless form a foot away. Spending precious time attending to the small girl would be fruitless. As he leaned in, the woman’s eyes flared as she sniffed him. Roman slipped his arm around her back, but she shoved him, swinging her arm out at an angle, slashing his face and drawing blood. Shit, he should’ve known the knuckle dusters were more than mere decoration. Grabbing her wrist, he dragged off the two rings, the blades now visible, and slipped them inside his pocket.

“Stop fighting me…I’m trying to help you.” He lifted her closer, but like a contortionist, the witch twisted and bent to the side, removing a thin, long knife from her ankle strap, which she waved at him, smiling.

“You’re a bloodthirsty monster…”

If he had a penny for every time he heard that. Cocking his head, Roman peered at the firecracker who didn’t know when to quit.

“Hm, not thirsty, I’ve already had my share of fresh virgins today, but I suppose…I could make an exception,” Roman said.

Argh!” she shouted, raising the steel knife, ready to stab him.

But he caught it between his hands and threw it away, where it landed in the nearest tree. Perhaps the witch was not as wounded as he thought, and he reexamined the mortal, who continued to thump his chest.

“I hope you choke on my blood…” she spat.
